in a article posted on arabianbusiness.com . Jim Morrison CEO of i-mate says "I-mate is not going out of business and will relaunch new device next year", "that will shake-up the mobile phone space" Morrison also says "has new funding coming in". "imate will stay out of the united states market for the next year or so"
keep in mind that I-mate was one of the first companies to launch higher end pocket pc geared towards the united states market. featuring devices with vga screens, higher end processors nvidia graphic chips. but what made them different were the usa 3g bands. the united states at the time (AT&T) used 1900mhz and later 850mhz for wcdma 3g bands. other companies were only pushing out devices that worked on the 2100mhz wcdma bands.
