Windows mobile losing market share! I wonder why

according to market research firm "Net Applications" has just released new information that puts the Windows os market share at its lowest point in 15 years. with so called smart phones like the iphone, blackberry and symbain os. windows is having a hard time keeping up with other operating systems. for the first time windows mobile have fallen behind the Apple iphone, globally as well as domestically. once a powerhouse has now been over run by the iphone. But its only being over run because of marketing. Apple has a awesome marketing machine and likes to spin things in their way. Windows phones are capable of doing more and have a wider range of devices and manufactures. But neither Microsoft nor manufactures like htc push out big marketing campaigns. For example just recently HTC pushed out a device that has a bigger screen, higher resolution, 5mp camera among other things . But For the most part you ask some one not into the mobile phone world “Hey have you heard about that phone call the TOUCH HD?” they would tell you no. But if you asked them “hey have you heard about that new iphone “ and they might make some rude remark like “ya were have you been”
its mistakes like this and refusing to revamp the the interface of windows mobile that is causing people to leave windows and go with some other system.
Some stats for the last quarter
