first post first review

hi thanks for looking at my blog. this is my first post so bare with me as i get the hang of this blogging thing.
well  I'm currently using a Motorola q9h for att, for those that don't know it a windows 6.1 smart phone device. it features  a 2 mega pixel camera with a led flash, also  has GPS. there are two different windows mobile operating systems at the moment  smart phone  and pocket PC.
this first post will be on reviews of the different browser that are available for windows smart phone. all though i might miss a few i will list the one i find most useful. each have there own strenght and weakness.
the first one is a semi new one to the market  its called skyfire.  ill  start with the main advantages i like about this browser. you get a true PC web experience on your mobile device, unlike like the iPhone browser, skyfire supports  flash and silver lite sites. what does that mean to people like you and me well for example if  you wanna watch a video from you tube or maybe Google video  all you would need to do is type in the URL address like you would on your home PC.(as opposed to other device that you have to use a application or some type of hack to view certain flash video sites.) the next thing you know depending on your Internet connection you will see the web page as you would on the big screen.  you would hit the play button and your watching the video.  there is currently only one other type of browser that can do this it comes from nokia it is based on a web kit engine. keep in mind that it also runs a diff rent operating system, its called symbian s60v3. another wonderful thing is that it stores your bookmarks on their servers so if you were to change your device or hard rest it they stay  on there. since it uses server base compression it make web browsing faster than on board browser.
some of the things i dislike about this browser are that when you are side scrolling it takes a while to render the page ( by while i mean a few seconds)  the browser gives you the option to view the whole page  and you can tap the spot you wanna zoom in on. this is were the problem  comes into play for me. as you are scrolling to the left, right up or down the page looks fuzzy intil its rendered right. a perfect example is for thoose of us that had a dial modem  do you remember how the images looked fuzzy and pix elated? that's what it looks like. another thing i dislike about he browser is that sometimes when you click on a link it thinks but doesn't bring up the next page. it will require you hit the link a couple of times til it brings you to the next page
on to the next browser opera mobile 8.65 not to be confused with opera mini   8.65 is the latest version for windows smart phone OS. there is a 9.5 for pocket pc but wont work with smart phone.  this browser isn't a server based browser, you download it to your phone and browse from there.  not much to say about this browser at the moment. it was one of the best browser when it came out compared to pocket inter net explorer. it supports downloading most file over the web. the browser give you a option to browse the web in two different modes . desktop and fit to screen. the desktop mode tries to give you a desk top view of the web page but requires you to do alot of scrolling due to the smaller screen size. but it does not suffer the same problem as skyfire. the fit to screen works better but some sites dont render right causing them look cramped or the text dont wrap right
in my next post ill talk about  pocket internet explore and opera mini as well as iris browser
stay tuned.......
