thoughts on sprint's mobile network

well i recently made the jump to to a cdma carrier after 6 years of using a gsm one. i jumped to sprint from att. for the most part i jumped because of the data speeds in my area have dropped off on att. in the begining speed averaged around 900kpbs on hsdpa. i was probabaly one of the first people to have the first 3g cingular phones in my city (lg cu320 and samsung zx-10) on there new utms network and later the hsdpa. ( yes the old att had a utms network in san diego in partnership with DoCoMo) i will admit that i was getting great speeds in once cingular launched their first hsdpa phone (lg cu500). but i will also admit that alot of it had to do with no one being on the 3g network. well jump ahead a few years att starts pushing out 3g phone to the mainstream, by doing this they start over crowding the 3g network. then comes the iphone 3g. which in my opinion crippled the network with a over demanding phone that required alot of bandwith per phone. this phone along with other pocket pc's and nokia s60 based phones took a toll on att hsdpa network. keep in mind that unlike sprint's or verzions 3g. att use 3g for both voice and data, one of the benfits of having a wcdma network.
well after being feed up with bandwith problems as well as dropp calls i tried the sprint network. i would never go to verizion due to the nickel and diming that they have mastered. i first tried a htc vogue wich overall was a great device good call quality as great bandwith averaging about 1mb down. then the htc touch pro came out. its a awesome device despite its minor flaws. it has a biger processor on the device 528mhz from the 400 that was on the vogue. now my speed test via a usb sync are averaging abut 1.8 mb with burst upwards of 2mb it seems like sprint knew that a device like this would cause a greater drain on the network and beefed up the network to handle the strain of the device att should take note on how sprint's manging their high speed network and follow suit.
