the new face of windows smartphones?

will this be the new face of windows mobile smartphones. no not the actual housing or form factor but the internal specs. we all know that the line between smartphone os (standard) and ppc os (professional) are quickly blending together. the days of what defined a smartphone and a ppc are pretty much gone. there were days that smartphone os were basiclly a smaller version of a ppc. from the smaller processor,to the numeric keyboard,to the smaller and lack of a touch screen.
with phones like the pantech matrix the only way to distinguish itself from a ppc is the lack of a touch screen. when you look at the specs below you would think its from a low end ppc.
* Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard
* 3G HSDPA, Quad-Band EDGE
* AGPS, Bluetooth (No WiFi)
* 2 MP Camera
* 528 MHZ Qualcomm MSM7201a Processor
* 256 ROM / 128 RAM
* 3 hours talktime
* 320x240 QVGA Screen

do phones like this harm or advance the windows mobile platform.
